The Frostig Center is a nonprofit state certified center
that specializes in working with students who have Learning
Disabilities, learning differences and learning difficulties.
We offer a highly professional, state-of-the-art environment
including research-based training and facilities. The Trafford
Center for Technology and Learning Disabilities is a one-of-a-kind
assistive computer lab designed specifically for individuals
with learning disabilities.
We currently have the following open positions:

Educational Therapist: Duties - To provide 1:1 instruction
to students with learning disabilities and remedial needs.
This will also include administering formal and informal
assessments and writing reports at established intervals.
Education and/or Experience: Masters’ degree in Special
Education preferred, but not required. 2 to 4 years full-
time teaching experience with learning handicapped students
as a special day class teacher, resource specialist or educational
therapist. CREDENTIALS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES: Valid
CA teaching credential in Special Education/Learning Handicapped
required. Must have training in learning disabilities. Hours: Minimum of three direct service hours per week; after- school
and weekends (if desired). flexible days & times. Paid
per direct service hour. Possibility of additional employment
through our Summer Workshop program.

Educational Therapy Professional Coordinator: Duties - To administer the after-school educational therapy and related summer programs for ages 6-18, including program development and public relations. This position will supervise and conduct training for professional staff plus provide several hours of 1:1 Educational Therapy. Education and/or Experience: Masters degree in Special Education required. 3 to 5 years full time teaching experience with learning handicapped students, a Special Day Class Teacher, Resource Specialist or Education Therapist. Previous supervisory experience required. Credentials, Certificates and/or Licenses: Valid CA M/M Special Education credential, professional membership in the Association of Educational Therapists (AET) is highly desirable.

Occupational Therapist: Duties - To work with students with learning disabilities in grades 1-12. Small caseload, paid time for consultation and paperwork plus flexible hours. 10-month position with summer work dependent on need. Salary commensurate with degree and experience. Hours: Part-time - approximately 20 hours per week.
